Top navigation strip
At the top of your editor screen, you'll find a purple strip featuring three basic navigation buttons:
Home: Takes you back to the template library in MarketView's main backend.
Save: Saves your current template or design to your template MarketVue library
Preview: Before saving, preview your creation as a dynamically generated PDF to see what it will look like when printed.
Sidebar menu options
The left-hand side of the editor contains various menu options to aid in your design process.
Elements
The first section, "Elements", is your go-to for essential design building blocks. Under this, you can find various shapes and icons suitable for different concepts and industries like finance, health, and media.
Images
Next, you'll see "Images," which has two subsections:
My uploads: Where you can upload and view previously uploaded images.
Find images: Enables you to search for free images on Unsplash.
Text
The "Text" section offers different text elements such as headings, subheadings, and body text, along with a selection of pre-made font styles.
Personalize
Clicking on "Personalize" takes you to a submenu where you can incorporate merge variables for mailing:
Choose a contact list from a drop-down.
Select which merge variables you'd like to include
General merge tags: Essential for any mailing; includes first name, last name, address, city, state, and zip.
Custom merge tags: If your contact list includes additional variable information, you can dynamically pull this into your design.
Tracking
Under "Tracking," you'll find options to add performance-tracking components like QR codes, personalized URLs (pURLs), and phone numbers.
Pages
"Pages" allows you to toggle between the front and back views of your mailer—simply click on 'front' or 'back.'
Layers
The final option is "Layers," where you can view and rearrange the different layers of your design. Simply drag the layer in the sidebar submenu to bring it in front or behind another layer.
Other features
Undo/redo buttons: Made a mistake? Use the undo and redo buttons to easily correct it.
Safety zones: These indicate where to place critical elements to ensure they don’t get cut off in printing.
Postage & addressing: The backside of any creative is automatically reserved for the "Mail From" and "Mail To" addresses, as well as postage details.
